Gotta blog more.

The best part of keeping a blog is reliving the memories. High school was its own era, the Georgia Tech days was another era, and now graduate school (let alone being on a whole other island) is definitely a new era in my life. Two years on this rock and I can't wait to someday read back on it.

I don't really like this blog as much. I liked my xanga better. The Georgia Tech days were fun. I'm trying to make this blog better, but I just don't know what to write anymore. I don't even know who my audience is so I guess I'm not as motivated to blog as I was on Xanga when just about everyone had an account. Oh those xanga days..

I had Anatomy lab today and I guess I'm getting used to seeing the cadavers. It still freaks me out and I can't imagine going into the lab at night alone. At the same time, the body's pretty amazing. Anatomy's the subject I fear the most right now (difficulty), but I can't wait to finally learn it all.

We also practiced physical examinations today. I didn't expect that we'd have to take our shirts off. All these people just rubbing up and down one another's back, feeling the vertebra prominens or just looking down your spine to look for scoliosis. I tried to test reflex today, but failed. I can't seem to tap correctly. Oh well, practice I guess?

Back to studying...

Term 1 Begins

I'm back in Grenada and I'm starting my second week of Term 1. I have to say I'm really glad I went through the Charter Foundations Program last semester. I think otherwise I'd be really lost and super stressed right now.

One week down and 15 more to go before summer break. For once, I'm not dreading the weeks here and counting down the days to go home. I hope this semester will be absolutely great. This week has had some fun in it too. My goal this semester is to master the art of balancing work and fun in my life.

Fun Evening

After being highly productive, the best part of today was meeting up with Becca, Katherine, and Christelle for dinner. Just having a chill night and engaging and laughing in conversations that carry on and on and on are the best. We've all been so busy that for several months, it's only been small-talk if any. Just seeing them again and being able to communicate like nothing's changed reminds me that they're awesome and I love them. I've had a lot of fun this break and done a ton of things, but something as simple as tonight was probably one of the best nights of my winter break. As I'm getting older and mature, I've experienced the drifting away of friends and the formation of new friends. At the same time, you cherish the friends that have been true to you since day one. I'm grateful.
